VRL make Vertical Continuous Vacuum Pan is Cylindrical shaped Multi Chamber construction. All the compartments are arranged one above the other. The ratio of heating surface (meter square) to volume (cubic meter) provided in Vertical Continuous Vacuum Pan is not less than 12.26.
The Top most compartments receive the seed magma & liquor at the center of the down take. Partially boiled massecuite from top compartment is continuously fed to bottom compartment. Super-saturation / Brix of massecuite inside the Pan are maintained, by adding crystal free liquor in all the chambers at the center of the down take.
Multi chamber construction facilitates the use of different vapors for different chambers, Predominant contribution to steam economy due to use of low temperature & low pressure vapor for pan boiling. Depending on the type of massecuite, mechanical circulators can easily be installed. Use of Mechanical Circulator with variable frequency Drive for each Chamber, results in Homogenous mixture of massecuite, yielding uniform crystal size and improved evaporation rate. 'W' shaped bottom saucer diverts the massecuite towards tubes, keeping the massecuite inside the pan always in motion, eliminating dead pockets & avoids formation of conglomerates.
Each calendria is provided with entrainment catching arrangement. Provision for feeding partially boiled massecuite to compartment below is either from central down take or periphery. Modular compartment facilitates cleaning of any chamber, when the pan is in continuous operation. The pan is supplied with Distributed Control System (DCS) for trouble free operation. Based on our expertise in Instrumentation and Controls, every operation right from feeding of seed, feed of liquor, Brix of boiling massecuite inside pan, vapor feed, condensate extraction etc., are monitored precisely and controlled by Distributed Control System.
